Statement of Purpose

I wanted to create two stories. One which followed the reporter Carl Phillips and one to follow Professor Richard Pierson. Each one would be a different medium of transmedia to tell the story.

 

Influences.

As for influences for this project mine would be "The Carrier" I thought the Ebook was a clean way to tell the story of Professor Pierson. It also fit because he talks about writing in his notebook. I aslo like how it updated in realtime which I thought would work Carl Phillips tweets.

 

Materials
I used Photoshop and Ibook author to create the pages of my Ebook. I also used twitter to for Carl Phillips part to create a framework for his story I would like to have them go out in real time.

 

Methodology

I decided that I wanted to include Professor Pierson notebook so i created it and included details such the blackened page from his burnt hand. I also included a sketch of the tripod. For Carl Phillips I thought bringing him back to life to would be a good way to tell his story through twitter since he is a reporter.

 

Desired Results
I wanted  my Ebook to be more inactive and have more play with it . The tweets came out the way I

 

Actual Results
Though my Ebook did come out effectively. I think it could have more interactivity maybe have more media embedded in it. It could alsoo have a choose your own adveture within the ebook itself.

 

Outcome
As for success I did achieve my goal and created the paths these story take. I think If i had more experience in DTC I think i could have achieved more.
